The Arizona Cardinals have new faces at general manager and head coach.

A month removed from the arrival of GM Monti Ossenfort, the Cardinals opted for Philadelphia Eagles DC Jonathan Gannon as their next guy.

Arizona now has two of their biggest offseason boxes checked, yet with free agency right around the corner, the Cardinals will have 30+ players ready to hit the market.

With a new regime in town, tough decisions on players such as Byron Murphy Jr. and Zach Allen will need to be made.

In terms of cap moves to earn the Cardinals a bit more spending money, there's one decision that may not be so tough to make.

Pro Football Focus went through a each NFL team and chose one player as a top cap casualty candidate. For the Cardinals, it's WR Robbie Anderson:

Robbie Anderson is Cap-Cutting Move Cardinals Should Make

Salary Cap Details: $0 dead money, $12,000,000 cap savings

"The Cardinals traded for Anderson at the deadline while giving up very little draft capital after he essentially walked off the field in Carolina during another frustrating offensive showing for the Panthers. He didn’t fare much better in Arizona, though, especially after quarterback Kyler Murray went down," said Brad Spielberger.

"By the end of the year, Anderson was playing behind A.J. Green, who retired shortly after the season. The Cardinals should use 2023 as a rebuilding year with the No. 3 overall pick in hand and Murray recovering from a torn ACL. The savings from releasing Anderson are too good to pass up."

Anderson was acquired for two late-round picks during the regular season.

Even with the potential departure of DeAndre Hopkins, the Cardinals shouldn't think twice about letting Anderson go. He didn't factor much into Arizona's offense and failed to impress on multiple occasions.

In 10 games for Arizona after being traded from Carolina, he caught seven passes for 76 yards.

According to OverTheCap.com, the Cardinals would have roughly $26.6 million in cap space if he's cut before June 1.

For players under contract, his $12 million cap hit ranks No. 7 on the team.
