At the end of February, the NFLPA released the results of their NFL Player Team Report Cards following the 2023 season. And it was a horrible look for the New England Patriots.

They were towards the bottom of the list in numerous categories, receiving the worst two grades for their treatment of families (F-) and the weight room (F).

So after seeing what the players had to say, Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Jerod Mayo addressed this. And for Kraft, he "was unaware of how bad that was."

So the owner provided some key updates about what they are doing to fix it at the 2024 NFL League Meeting.

"We’ve had a plan, and we put in place, where we’re committing a whole new facility adjacent to ours that has been discussed with the young leadership team," Kraft explained. "A building that will be in excess of $50 million that will have the most modern facilities.

"We have to correct anything. I was not aware, even of this daycare issue," he continued. "That’s something that’s fixable and we want to do. Look, the players are the heart and soul of the business. I’d be very surprised if that didn’t improve. That was done in the fifth week of the season, I think.”

And Mayo had very similar sentiments.

“Look, the report card, I think it’s very important. I think it just reminds staffs and owners of things we need to improve on," the head coach said. "Going forward, the Kraft family – once again, when you see a grade that’s not favorable – it does bring attention to it. In saying that, we put together a group that is really going to try to attack some of the problems – or some of the things we’ve seen on the report card. But once again, it’s going to take time to improve those things.”
