Russell Wilson says his only plan is to win Super Bowls with the Seahawks

Russell Wilson is getting out ahead of rumors that he wants to part ways with the Seattle Seahawks. In a press conference Thursday he said in plain terms that he has no plan of leaving the team.

"My goal is to win more Super Bowls. And my plan is to win them here," Wilson said. "It's that simple. There's nothing really else other than that."

Rumors of friction between Wilson and the Seahawks have been bubbling for a long time. One report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler in June said the quarterback was "straight-up frustrated" to hear his name in trade rumors and "things could get very ugly" if Seattle isn't a contender in 2021.

More recently, Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reported a "contentious offseason" is on the way for the Seahawks, and the possibility of a trade involving is "very real."

Publicly, the Seahawks have given little indication that there's tension behind the scenes. Wilson has stated he hopes to stay in Seattle, and Pete Carroll said earlier this week that he finds rumors of discontent "easy to dismiss."
