Ryan Shazier offers prayers to injured Bills CB Dane Jackson

Most people don't know what it feels like to be taken off an NFL field with a potentially life-altering injury. Sadly, Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson experienced that phenomenon on 'Monday Night Football', as he endured a nasty collision with his own teammate that was bad enough that he had to be taken off the field in an ambulance.

Most people don't know, but Ryan Shazier isn't most people.

Ironically enough, Shazier was carted off the field during Monday Night Football in 2017 after an awkward tackle he was trying to make left him unable to move. Much like Jackson's injury here in 2022, Shazier's head and neck took the brunt of the contact.

Shazier was taken to a local hospital and ultimately suffered a spinal contusion. He was paralyzed in his arms and legs but ultimately regained his ability to walk after spinal stabilization surgery and rehab.

So yeah, Shazier knows better than most what Jackson went through on Monday night. As such, he offered the Bills cornerback his prayers on Twitter shortly after the play.

Who knows what lies on the road ahead for Jackson, but hopefully he has a swift and full recovery. It is worth noting that the Bills tweeted that he was headed to get a CT scan and X-ray for a neck injury. The good news is that they also mentioned that Jackson has full movement in his extremities.
