NFL free agency is quite the process. Players want to find the best deal, but they also value the players around them in their new home. That was the case for a new addition for the New Orleans Saints.

Chase Young has wasted no time recruiting for the Saints.

He reportedly was a key reason that newly-signed linebacker/safety Khaleke Hudson chose to come to New Orleans.

Adding more depth at linebacker/safety made plenty of sense for the Saints. Plus, Hudson has been an impressive special teams player in recent years. That can have a major impact due to the NFL's new kickoff rules, too.

Young projects to be a key cog in the pass rush for New Orleans.

His recruiting is only another positive for the organization after they signed him to a one-year, "prove it" type of deal earlier in the offseason. He was their most notable splash signing, but if he can help them get better depth around the roster, then his value increases even more.

Regardless, it is clear that Young is happy to be in New Orleans. He's trying to bring more pieces to a team that expects to improve from 2023.
