Saints place QBs Taysom Hill, Trevor Siemian on COVID list

The New Orleans Saints placed quarterbacks Tayson Hill and Trevor Siemian on the COVID/reserve list on Thursday, which could open the door for Ian Book to start under center on Monday against the Miami Dolphins.

Jeff Duncan of Nola.com reported there may be other players added to the list, but those players haven't been confirmed yet. The team held virtual meetings on Thursday in the wake of the outbreak.

Book, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, could make his professional debut.
