New Orleans Saints receiver Michael Thomas was seen being arrested by police in Kenner, Louisiana, Friday night, witnesses told WDSU News 6.

Thomas allegedly threw two bricks at a truck and then pushed the occupant of the vehicle. According to the victim, Thomas slapped his phone out of his hand after he began recording the incident. The victim, who is a project manager working on building a home across the street from the 30-year-old’s home, said he’s been having issues with Thomas for about two weeks. He claims Thomas was upset with the construction crew parking in the street across from his home. Thomas allegedly made multiple threats.

Thomas told him that if the cars weren’t moved, he would get a “brick or a bullet” in his car, per the report from Eli Brand of WDSU.

The Saints released the following statement:

“We aware of the incident and are gathering information,” the statement read, via Nick Underhill of NOF Network.

Michael Thomas becomes latest Saints WR to have run-in with the law

Thomas is in his eighth season with the Saints. New Orleans selected him in the second-round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. A two-time All-Pro and 2019 AP Offensive Player of the Year, Thomas has hauled in 38 receptions for 439 yards and one touchdown this season. He’s played in all nine games, the most he’s suited up in during a single season since 2019.

Thomas isn’t the first Saints receiver to face trouble with the law this year. Just over two weeks ago, Chris Olave was arrested for reckless operation of a motor vehicle traveling 70 mph in a 35 mph zone. In the police video, Olave is heard taking responsibility for the arrest, telling the officer, “That’s on me. I was just trying to get home.” Olave later told the officer he plays for the Saints, in which the officer replied, “And?”

According to the Kenner Police Department, it was Olave’s second speeding violation in the last few months. On Aug. 21, Olave was ticketed for driving 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.
