The New Orleans Saints have added some depth to what is already a stout defensive back group . On Monday, it was announced that the Saints have signed former Cincinnati Bengals seventh round draft pick Jordan Brown.

Brown played at South Dakota State for his collegiate career before getting drafted by the Bengals. During his career at South Dakota State, he racked up eight interceptions and 35 passes defended over 51 games played. He also tacked on 148 total tackles, six for a loss and forces four fumbles.

Brown has yet to see action on the field in the regular season with his tenure with the Bengals, Jaguars, Commanders and Raiders. He has mainly been involved in practice squads and has earned reserve deals with several teams.

He will now get the opportunity to be a part of a secondary unit that features Marshon Lattimore, C.J. Gardner-Johnson and P.J. Williams. Brown will be able to make a statement to the team when the Saints take on the Texans on Saturday against the Houston Texans in the first of three preseason games for New Orleans.
