Death. Taxes. Taysom Hill being effective on offense.

You can rely on those things sticking around for quite some time. They are like clockwork.

In Week 8, the New Orleans Saints needed a big performance from utility knife Taysom Hill, and he absolutely delivered in the team's 38-27 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

With the victory, the Saints improved to 17-1 all-time when Hill has at least seven carries in a game. Today, he totaled 63 yards on nine carries and two rushing touchdowns. He had 14 receiving yards and 44 passing yards, too.

Hill's impact cannot be overlooked. Most of the time he enters the game it is for an option play where either he or the running back will carry the football.

That being said, his capability to throw the ball, especially downfield, force defenses into a tough spot. They cannot completely abandon the passing game when he enters, but his running ability and pure power make him difficult to stop if you don't get to him quickly. His agility and tackle-breaking ability are underrated.

Regardless, the Saints need to continue to use him in this manner.

Don't go away from it - even if you fall into an early hole. They did that today, and his usage still worked to perfection.

Pete Carmichael Jr. also deserves some credit as the offensive coordinator for some of the packages that he has put together for Taysom and some other unique talent, like DL Khalen Saunders, on offense.

Taysom remains one of the most intriguing players in the entire NFL. The Saint must use him to their advantage to see their ceiling on offense.
