The Seattle Seahawks cut a pass-rusher from their roster before Monday’s start of the team’s offseason workout program. The cut came as the Seahawks are set to visit with a top pass-rushing prospect who had an interesting weekend.

Per the Seahawks website, the team signed several free agents. Cornerback Michael Jackson, linebacker Jon Rhattigan, defensive end Myles Adams, offensive guard McClendon Curtis, offensive tackle Raiqwon O’Neal, linebacker Joshua Onujiogu and tight end Brady Russell signed contracts to remain with Seattle.

The Seahawks also released defensive tackle LaTrell Bumphus. The Seahawks signed Bumphus out of Tennessee  as an undrafted rookie free agent last offseason.

Bumphus recorded no stats last season.

The Seahawks could be adding a pass-rusher in the draft. Per Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Texas defensive tackle prospect T’Vondre Sweat is set to meet with the Seahawks this week.

Sweat could join forces with a Seahawks pass rush that was graded the ninth best last season, per Pro Football Focus.
