Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has heard all of the trade rumors, and he is getting tired of it.

During a press conference after restructuring his contract, Lockett spoke on the trade speculation and gave a rather passionate response to it.

Lockett had two years and $34 million remaining on his deal, but the restructure made it a two-year, $30 million pact with a maximum value of $34 million. He will also earn $13 million in guaranteed money next season.

The 31-year-old is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he played every game and caught 79 passes for 894 yards and five touchdowns, marking the first time he failed to register 1,000 yards since 2018.

Lockett, who played his collegiate football at Kansas State, was selected by the Seahawks in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He made the Pro Bowl and earned a First-Team All-Pro selection during his rookie season primarily due to his work on special teams, as he registered a pair of special teams touchdowns that year. He also logged 51 catches for 664 yards and six scores.

After a couple of more decent seasons in 2016 and 2017, Lockett broke out in his fourth year, snaring 57 balls for 965 yards while reaching the end zone 10 times. He also posted an outstanding catch percentage of 81.4 percent.

Lockett then went on to record four straight 1,000-yard campaigns between 2019 and 2022, topping out at 1,175 yards in 2021.

While Lockett has never been an elite receiver, he has been one of the most reliable wide outs in the NFL for years, both from a production and a durability standpoint. He has only missed three games in his career.

It’s looking like Lockett will remain in Seattle for at least the next couple of years.
