Head coach Sean McVay finally brought a championship to the Los Angeles Rams three years after losing Super Bowl LIII.
It took an elite group of guys to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI as the game went down to the final drive.
With a Super Bowl ring on his resume, McVay has nothing left to prove.
But given that he is just 36 years old, he still has a lot of opportunities to win more titles.
Those championships could come in the next few seasons because the Rams have a legitimate window of opportunity.
If he keeps up that rate, he will go up the ranks in this legendary list for coaches.
The NFL on CBS Twitter account shared that McVay has led the Rams to two Super Bowl appearances in five seasons.
The coach who defeated him in Super Bowl LIII, the New England Patriots’ Bill Belichick, has nine appearances in 27 seasons.
Next on the list is Kansas City Chiefs’ Andy Reid who has three in 23 seasons.
Tying McVay are Mike Tomlin (15 seasons) and Pete Carroll (16 seasons).
Like McVay, Reid, Tomlin, and Carroll have won one Super Bowl each.
But with him enjoying enormous success in a short span of time, it won’t take long before McVay unseats Reid at the number two spot.
Rams Are Legitimate Super Bowl Contenders Again
They might have lost Odell Beckham Jr. to an ACL injury but they still have reigning Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp.
The Rams also brought in Allen Robinson II to beef up their wideout unit.
The team also hopes that Cam Akers will be back to full health.
On the other side of the ball, three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald will return together with fellow All-Pros Bobby Wagner and Jalen Ramsey.
Meanwhile, Matthew Stafford will remain as their starting quarterback after receiving a four-year, $160 million extension from the franchise.
With these players in place, the Rams have what it takes to win back-to-back Super Bowls.
