The injuries continued to pile up for the Los Angeles Rams in their Week 11 loss to the New Orleans Saints that dropped the team to 3-7.
The Rams were already without star wide receiver Cooper Kupp and then for much of the second half they were without quarterback Matthew Stafford after he was pulled out of the game due to a potential concussion.
If Stafford has a concussion then that would be his second in the last few weeks so the Rams will be extremely cautious before bringing him back.
Meanwhile, Stafford wasn’t the only Rams player forced to leave the game with an injury as the same can be said for offensive tackle Ty Nsekhe and defensive tackle A’Shawn Robinson.
Rams head coach Sean McVay provided updates on both on Monday and it looks like Robinson’s injury is significant while Nsekhe’s is manageable, via Greg Beacham of the Associated Press:
Robinson is just the latest Rams player to go down with a significant injury as his status for the remainder of the season is now in question. The 27-year-old has provided the Rams with some nice depth on the defensive line, recording 42 total tackles and two tackles for loss in 10 games.
No unit in football has been more banged up than L.A.’s offensive line as they have used 10 different groups in 10 games so far.
Nsekhe is a veteran that has played for a number of different teams in his NFL career since 2009, including a short stint with the St. Louis Rams. He was brought in due to the Rams’ glut of injuries up front and was actually playing well before suffering the ankle injury.
With the Rams’ playoff hopes all but dead, they will feel no pressure to bring back any injured players prematurely. L.A. has a big game against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend, although it’s looking like they will be severely short-handed once again.
