Both NFL coaches Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions and Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams have done a amazing job this year for their franchises.  They have both clinched a NFC playoff birth while the Lions have won their division for the first time in many years. McVay on the other hand is doing something special with the Rams and something that no one in the NFL world saw coming.

While the lions are coming off a controversial loss this past week when they went for a two point conversion three times in a row, they are still one of the top NFL teams and have all their most important games in front of them. Sean McVay and the Rams just clinched the playoffs as well even though they will not win their division. The odds right now don’t favor McVay, even though the job he has done is more than deserving for the award.

Dan Campbell Is Betting Favorite For NFL Coach Of The Year

Campbell sits as the top betting favorite to take home the prestigious award and with the way he has turned around the Lions franchise he is more than deserving. The Lions look like one of the premium teams in the league coming very far from a team that was once at the absolute bottom.

McVay on the other hand, is not as high on the list, and he has already won the award in 2017 for the job he did in creating one of the best offenses the league has ever seen. So it would be appropriate for Campbell to take home the award for this year as the Lions have been playing outstanding football all year. This is also an award that has been coming for Campbell for years in the making as he has taken a few seasons to properly turn this franchise around.

Neither of these coaches are thinking about that at all right now, as the post season is looming large and all the goals are still ahead of these teams. Both teams can make a lot of noise in the NFC as some of the top contenders have been having some issues leading in the playoffs. When it comes to the award you can’t go wrong with either of these guys, and even though Campbell will probably take home the honor, McVay deserves all the respect in the world as one of the greatest coaches of all time.
