Several teams interested in Lions' Jamie Collins likely waiting for his release?

The Detroit Lions are reportedly exploring trade options for Jamie Collins. However, it doesn't seem like the outside linebacker will be moved unless he's released.

Several teams are interested in Collins but are likely waiting for him to be released, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said earlier this week that Detroit wants to give fourth-round pick Derrick Barnes more time at linebacker, which leaves Collins as the odd man out.

Collins is in his second season with the Lions after spending the 2019 campaign with the Patriots, which was his second stint with the franchise. The 31-year-old also played in New England from 2013-16.

The 31-year-old has a fumble recovery, 10 tackles, one tackle for a loss and one quarterback hit in two games this season. It's unclear which teams might be interested in the veteran.
