'Ship has sailed' on Ravens bringing back three-time Pro Bowler

At this point of the offseason there isn't a ton of talent left in free agency, but there is still one familiar face the Ravens could decide to bring back. Although, one insider doesn't think that it will happen.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, "the ship has probably sailed" on Baltimore bringing back veteran CB Marcus Peters, whom the team traded for in 2019.

Peters was with the Ravens from 2019-22, totaling 99 tackles, two sacks, six forced fumbles and five interceptions.

He is now 30, which may be the reason why Baltimore appears ready to move on from him. Peters has dealt with his fair share of injuries, but he played in 13 games in 2023 and would provide great depth and leadership to the room at the least.

Baltimore did sign CB Rock Ya-Sin to a one-year deal in free agency, but with what still feels to be a thin group, the team is one injury away from having to hit the panic button.

Plus, Peters shouldn't cost too much at this point and the Ravens still have almost $10 million in cap space.

After losing several key veteran leaders this offseason, bringing back Peters may not be a bad idea. So, it's time to turn the ship back around.
