The NFL Draft is a funny time of year. From the end of the season until Roger Goodell walks on the stage to announce the #1 overall pick, the narratives change endlessly surrounding the top prospects. It’s proof that absolutely nobody — even NFL insiders — really knows what’s going to happen on draft day, which is part of the reason next week will be one of the most exciting days of the year for football fans.

Most recently, top quarterback prospect CJ Stroud has been the subject of headlines, and not in a good way. For various reasons, many are expecting him to fall down draft boards come April 27th, which could be a blessing for the Falcons. They are set to pick 8th in the draft, and Matt Miller recently reported that a “dream scenario” for Atlanta would be if one of Bryce Young or CJ Stroud fell to them. Young looks like a lock to go #1 overall, but at least from what insiders are reporting, Stroud could be a possibility.

On the latest episode of SportsTalkATL, we discuss the narratives surrounding CJ Stroud, whether he will fall to the Falcons, and if Atlanta should pull the trigger if he does.
