Some NFL teams considering game-day travel during 2020-21 season?
2020 quickly became the year of "picking the best bad option" for sports leagues looking to finish or start seasons amid the coronavirus pandemic. That trend isn't ending anytime soon, and this reality has NFL executives questioning how a season can exist during the uncontrolled virus outbreak.
Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported a doozy of a bad idea on Tuesday afternoon.
Per Florio, "multiple teams intend to fly to and from road games on the day of the game" to limit exposure to individuals, such as hotel workers, who may not social distance and self-isolate through the fall.

As Florio noted, game-day travel won't be an option for teams flying cross-country. The NFL didn't account for such issues when building a standard 256-game regular-season calendar.
However, it's possible postponing the start of the campaign by four to six weeks would give league executives, owners and the NFL Players Association enough time to reconsider fixtures, especially if it's determined fans can't attend games until 2021 at the earliest.
