Star NFL QB 'starstruck' by meeting Tiger Woods at Genesis Invitational

Josh Allen is a celebrity in his own right as the face of the Buffalo Bills, but the Pro Bowl NFL quarterback and golf enthusiast still gets captivated when he meets other big-name athletes.

Such was the case on Sunday when Allen attended the Genesis Invitational in Southern California and had the opportunity to meet Tiger Woods.

"A little starstruck," Allen said of their meeting. "Yeah, kind of speechless. That was pretty cool."

Woods was the man of the hour for just about the entire weekend as he played in his first competitive event since last summer. The 47-year-old finished the weekend tied for 45th after getting off to a surprising start in the first two days of the event and then narrowly making the cut after a rough showing on Saturday.

It isn't clear yet whether Woods will compete again before heading to Augusta National in April for the Masters, but it is pretty clear that the 15-time major winner has captivated audiences all over again. At least, that's the case for Allen.

"I actually felt my heart beat faster as he was standings over a putt," Allen said. "I legit felt the pressure with him."
