Steelers cornerback Justin Layne was very 'nervous' during arrest

Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Justin Layne was arrested Friday on a gun charge in Ohio.

Police video of the incident obtained by TMZ Sports shows a handcuffed Layne sitting in the back of a police car talking to a friend on the phone and saying, "I'm nervous as f—, bro. They about to get me. They might get me for the pistol, bro."

Layne was reportedly pulled over for driving 89 mph in a 60-mph zone. Police told him that records showed he was driving with a suspended license and had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a traffic violation in another jurisdiction.

Police searched Layne's vehicle after smelling marijuana and seeing loose particles of the drug throughout the car. The search revealed a loaded pistol in the center of his car.

The 23-year-old was arrested on a fourth-degree felony charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and charged with driving with a suspended license and exceeding speed limits.

Layne was selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2019 draft. He recorded 22 tackles in 16 games last season.
