When you are a football lifer, there's only so much time you can go without cultivating young men both off and on the field.

And while Hines Ward is still waiting to get his call to Canton, few have ever matched his passion and intensity for the game of football.

That is being proven yet again after recent news about his latest career move:

Ward to ASU

After retiring in 2011 as one of the greatest players in franchise history, the 2x Super Bowl champ and 4x Pro Bowler went into the media for a few years before discovering his true passion:

Coaching.

Starting as an intern with the Steelers, Ward would go on to join the Jets as an offensive assistant before taking the role of WRs coach at Florida Atlantic University and parlaying that into a job as head coach of the XFL's San Antonio Brahmas last season.

Back to his roots as a position coach, ASU has produced some high-caliber wideouts in the past, including 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk, who coincidentally enough, has been tied to the Steelers as of late

Either way, it's good to see the Steelers legend getting back to what he does second best, with tearing up defenses leading off his resume.
