The Pittsburgh Steelers hosted Missouri defensive lineman Darius Robinson for a visit, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Robinson continues the string of defensive linemen that the Steelers have hosted or scheduled for visits along with Braden Fiske and Khristian Boyd.

Rapoport adds that Robinson, a Senior Bowl standout, has over 20 private visits and workouts scheduled with teams before the NFL Draft. And Robinson is one of the more fascinating players in the entire 2024 NFL Draft, specifically on the defensive line front.

Robinson can play up and down the defensive line, shifting from inside to the edge in recent years. He was 6-foot-5, 285 pounds with 34 1/2-inch arms at the NFL Combine. An older type of player, Robinson wins mostly through power and length rather than burst and bend.

But his fit into the Steelers scheme is pretty clear given his usage at Missouri, especially because he has worked on the interior and edge. Robinson fits beautifully into their scheme, especially as a sub-package power rusher. And when you look at what this team needs along the defensive line, something that can move up and down the line would be someone that they could comfortably plop into the scheme.

Robinson might have to add some bulk to fully fit into the Steelers scheme, but he has played up near 300 pounds in past years, but has adjusted his weight based on how much Missouri wanted him to play on the edge. Regardless, the team clearly wants to add a defensive lineman at some point in this draft.
