The announcers for the Steelers’ Week 8 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars have been revealed. CBS announced that the crew of Ian Eagle, Charles Davis, and Evan Washburn will call the game that is slated to be the lead of the 1 p.m. slate for the channel. Channel 2 KDKA-TV will have the local coverage of the game on Sunday.

Pittsburgh and Jacksonville come in on hot streaks and look to keep it up. The Jaguars have won four straight, and this is their first time coming back to Pittsburgh since 2017 when they knocked the group off in the AFC Divisional Round 45-42. The Steelers are hoping to cement themselves as part of the hierarchy in the AFC with a statement third straight win over Trevor Lawrence and company.

“They’re a group man that’s a winner of four straight, got a lot of respect for that. They got a lot of talent. They got really good sound schematics,” head coach Mike Tomlin said.

This is the second game the Eagle, Davis, Washburn crew will call this year. They previously called Pittsburgh’s narrow win over the Baltimore Ravens at Acrisure Stadium. Over the years, the crew has made several trips to Pittsburgh, given their relevance in the AFC throughout most of the year, and so far in 2023, that’s no different.

It will also be Hall of Honor weekend for the Steelers at Acirsure Stadium heightening the game’s mood even more. They will welcome back guys like James Harrison and Aaron Smith from recent teams.
