The Pittsburgh Steelers brightened a young fan’s holiday with two ticket’s to Super Bowl LVII in Las Vegas. The young fan, four-year old Ivy, was surprised by former Steelers defensive end Brett Keisel with the tickets at halftime of Pittsburgh’s 34-11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium.

Ivy, who was battling cancer, brought her Terrible Towel to all of her treatment sessions. Today, she is a cancer survivor in remission.

“On behalf of the Pittsburgh Steelers, thank you Ivy for being a brave Black and Gold fan,” Steelers public address announcer Larry Richert said as Keisel presented Ivy the tickets.

The Steelers introduced a new initiative this year highlighting the ‘Women of Steel,’ focusing on the women who make the fanbase strong. Throughout the year, the Steelers have highlighted various factions of ‘Women of Steel,’ including female season ticket holders, community leaders, women in football, business leaders and more.

The Steelers support several community programs — two of them are the Cancer Caring Center and UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.

A portion of the proceeds from the annual Rock Steelers Style Fashion Show goes to the Cancer Caring Center. A current player chairs the annual Cancer Caring walk and has lunch with the top 10 fundraisers. The Cancer Caring Center is dedicated to helping people diagnosed with cancer, their families and friends cope with the emotional impact of cancer.

The team’s players often visit UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh to bring a smile to kids who are battling health issues. Players participate in various events for patients and their families, including the WDVE Radiothon and the Free Care Fund Telethon. Children’s also receives proceeds from the 50/50 raffle at a home game.

In October, defensive end Cam Heyward kicked off his second annual Cam’s Kindness Week at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, where he spent time with kids and played games with them.
