The Pittsburgh Steelers signed cornerback Levi Wallace to a two-year, $8 million contract on March 17, 2022, which included a signing bonus of $2.96 million. He has played two seasons with the Steelers and started 18 of 31 games. In those two seasons, Wallace had six interceptions and combined for 86 tackles.

Wallace made an appearance on Good Morning Football on Friday to discuss his future with the organization, subtly suggesting a potential split between himself and the Steelers.

"Not the first time of me doing this, so it's always exciting. New opportunities, new team, and so I look forward to the process and going somewhere and being a big part of that defense, as well.”

Wallace, a determined and resilient athlete, began his football journey as a walk-on at the prestigious University of Alabama. Despite facing initial challenges and going undrafted in the NFL Draft, Wallace's unwavering dedication and relentless work ethic propelled him forward.

His breakthrough came when he earned a spot with the Buffalo Bills, where he showcased his talents on the field for four consecutive seasons. Throughout his tenure with the Bills, Wallace exhibited exceptional skill and determination at the cornerback position, starting in all 52 games he played. His consistent performance and unwavering commitment to excellence earned him the respect of teammates, coaches, and fans alike.

Despite facing numerous obstacles along the way, Wallace's journey is a testament to his resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. His remarkable achievements in the NFL serve as an inspiration to aspiring athletes everywhere, proving that with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

Steelers' Secondary Should Get A Ton Of Help In 2024

As Wallace eagerly anticipates his future in the NFL, the possibility of not being re-signed by the Steelers looms large. However, recent developments within the Steelers organization have sparked intriguing possibilities for Wallace's next steps.

The Steelers' decision to release veteran cornerback Patrick Peterson on Friday has shifted the team's focus, particularly on bolstering their defense. With a clear need for reinforcements at the safety position, the Steelers have intensified their efforts in scouting potential defensive back talents both at the NFL Combine and in the free agency market.

As the team explores avenues to strengthen their defensive lineup, Wallace's performance and potential contributions are undoubtedly under scrutiny by the Steelers' coaching staff and management.

While the uncertainty of his future with the Steelers persists, Wallace remains optimistic and open to seizing opportunities that may arise elsewhere in the league. With his proven track record of resilience and adaptability, Wallace is prepared to embrace whatever challenges and opportunities lie ahead in his NFL journey.

The upcoming free agent safeties offer abundant talent, providing the Steelers a chance to strengthen their roster. Although Wallace's future remains uncertain, his recent remarks hint at a potential departure from the team. Pittsburgh's offseason moves, including filling Peterson's vacancy and enhancing safety depth, will be closely watched.
