The Steelers were missing a few veterans on Saturday at training camp, including two safeties in Keanu Neal and Damontae Kazee. Kazee had a helmet and looked like he would be closer to practicing but did not go through anything as he recovers from his ankle injury. Meanwhile, Neal did not practice or go through anything, leaving his status as a question overall.
However, Larry Ogunjobi was a new addition to the list. The veteran defensive tackle did not practice nor did he appear injured at the Friday Night Lights practice. Rookie Keeanu Benton had a wrap on his right wrist, but he is going through drills and team periods, so that seems minor.
On Saturday, rookie outside linebacker Nick Herbig suffered an injury. It was an undisclosed injury, but he left in the middle of practice and did not return. He was limited. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick practiced for the first time all training camp. It was in a limited fashion, as he went through 7-on-7 drills and individual drills. Fitzpatrick could just be ramping up.
Meanwhile, running back John Lovett was out again. Wide receiver JaMarcus Bradley is a new injury that popped up and the wide receiver did not practice on Saturday. Defensive lineman DeMarvin Leal remained out with his left ankle injury.
