The Pittsburgh Steelers have made changes to their practice squad, signing former Maryland and Florida wide receiver Jacob Copeland, while also freeing space by releasing cornerback Luq Barcoo and running back Greg Bell.

Copeland comes to Pittsburgh after spending time with the Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings this summer. He played his final college season at Maryland, recording 26 passes for 376 yards and two touchdowns. At Florida, he caught 86 passes for 1,366 yards and nine touchdowns.

The Steelers add another wide receiver to their practice squad as they prepare to replace Diontae Johnson, who will reportedly miss multiple weeks because of a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 1. Pittsburgh already had Dez Fitzpatrick and Simi Fehoko on their practice squad.

Both Barcoo and Bell spent training camp and the preseason with Pittsburgh before being cut during the team's final roster trim. The Steelers have one open spot on their practice squad.
