The Pittsburgh Steelers have had quite an eventful offseason, marked by a series of notable moves and developments. Among the latest headlines is the anticipation surrounding the scheduled visit of former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams to Pittsburgh this week. This news comes at an intriguing juncture for the Steelers, particularly following the departure of Diontae Johnson, who was recently traded away.

Gerry Dulac's appearance on Rich Eisen's show Monday sparked excitement among Steelers fans about the team's potential plans at wide receiver. Dulac dropped hints about significant developments, prompting Eisen to delve into the Steelers' ongoing strategies. Specifically, Eisen probed Dulac about the team's interest in Williams.

“Or bigger is all I will tell you Rich and we shall see but that is another step that they are going to make. Like I said, it might not even be Mike Williams it might be a bigger catch if you will. No pun intended.”

With Dulac's insights, the exchange offered fans a sneak peek into the Steelers' offseason discussions and potential moves. Dulac wasn't willing to say much more outside of the Steelers plans at the wide receiver position are most likely bigger than Williams.

Eisen was taken aback by Dulac's revelation, reflecting the anticipation shared by Steeler Nation regarding the identity of the highly anticipated wide receiver. Just like Steelers fans, Eisen eagerly awaits the unveiling of the prominent name that Dulac alluded to.

Steelers Are One Talented Wide Receiver Away From A Historic Offseason

With the acquisition of Russell Wilson, a seasoned veteran and Super Bowl champion, as their new starting quarterback, and the promising young talent of Justin Fields serving as the designated backup, Pittsburgh's quarterback room has undergone a significant transformation. This revamped lineup has sparked optimism and raised expectations for the upcoming season, as fans eagerly await the on-field chemistry between Wilson and his new receiving targets.

However, the departure of Johnson via trade has left a void in the Steelers' receiving corps that will need to be addressed. Johnson's departure, while necessary for strategic reasons, underscores the importance of finding a suitable replacement to maintain the team's offensive prowess. The Steelers will undoubtedly be on the lookout for another talented wideout to complement their roster and ensure a seamless transition in their passing game.

As the offseason progresses and the Steelers refine their roster, the prospect of adding a star wide receiver emerges as a potential game-changer. A wild rumor linking the team to the league's top wideout, Justin Jefferson, has stirred excitement, although the idea seems far-fetched.

However, with Omar Khan at the helm, known for his bold moves, fans have learned to expect the unexpected. Another surprising name in the mix could be Stefon Diggs. While both possibilities may seem outlandish, Dulac's suggestion to think even bigger than Williams has left fans eagerly anticipating Khan's next move.
