It’s no secret that the Dallas Cowboys have one of the most rabid fan bases in the NFL, but it may be a surprise that the Los Angeles Rams have the worst fan base in the league.

At least, that’s what Emory University Goizueta School of Business professor Mike Lewis concluded after completing his annual study on NFL fandom.

Judging the fans on three key topics — Fan Equity (how much fans spend on their team), Social Equity (social media presence) and Road Equity (how teams do drawing their fans on the road) — Lewis concluded that the Cowboys remain undefeated in terms of fan support.

Remember, last year they ranked first as well, with the New England Patriots coming in second (as they did once more this year). Conversely, the Rams are at the bottom of this list.

Here’s the full list:

1. Cowboys

2. Patriots

3. Eagles

4. Giants

5. Steelers

6. Packers

7. Broncos

8. Bears

9. 49ers

10. Saints

11. Redskins

12. Colts

13. Falcons

14. Dolphins

15. Seahawks

16. Panthers

17. Raiders

18. Ravens

19. Bills

20. Jets

21. Texans

22. Lions

23. Buccaneers

24. Vikings

25. Cardinals

26. Chargers

27. Browns

28. Bengals

29. Jaguars

30. Titans

31. Chiefs

32. Rams

Surprisingly, the Los Angeles Chargers are better represented than their Southern California counterpart. It’s surprising because the Chargers have famously been having a ridiculously hard time filling their tiny stadium the past couple of years. In fact, many of their home games look like road games as fans of opposing teams have taken over.

It’s also surprising that a team like the Kansas City Chiefs is ranked so low here. Chiefs fans are notorious for being loud and proud — at least in the confines of Arrowhead Stadium.
