Surprising name emerges as Ravens’ best WR at training camp, analyst raves that ‘it ain’t close’

The signing of Odell Beckham Jr. brought plenty of excitement for the Baltimore Ravens this offseason. But it appears another name could wind up grabbing the hearts of the fan base, and it may happen sooner than later if the early returns are any indication.

During a recent segment on FS1's 'Speak,' former NFL wide receiver and current analyst James Jones revealed that he's spoken with Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken and also has heard a lot of chatter about how the offense looks. But one takeaway that jumped out, per Jones, is the fact that Baltimore's first-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Zay Flowers, has been far and away the best wide receiver thus far, and he's including Beckham in that mix.

"Another thing I'm hearing out of that camp is Zay Flowers is the best wide receiver out there, including OBJ, and it ain't close." James stated.

It's a strong comment from Jones, and while it's still early in training camp and it's also likely that Flowers is going to see much more work at practice and in preseason than Beckham will. Regardless, both players will be laser-focused on building their chemistry and rapport with quarterback Lamar Jackson, and if it all comes together, this could make the Ravens' offense even more dangerous than in recent years.
