In case you missed it, the Arizona Cardinals held their introductory press conference for new head coach Jonathan Gannon.

Right out of the gate, Gannon illuminated a clear spark of energy and proved he is passionate about not just his job, but the game of football.

When explaining his plan for the Cardinals going forward, Gannon emphasized that this team is in no need of a rebuild.

“When you start to be result oriented, you are not going to win.” “I like the floor pieces that are here.” “We are going to do everything we can to put the best people out there to win games.”

Repeatedly, he preached “the process” that will take place to move the Cardinals back in the right direction.

And it will be quarterback Kyler Murray that Arizona will build around in this process.

“Not many times do you take over a team and have a franchise quarterback.” “We are going to maximize Kyler’s skillset.”

Gannon also spoke on his experience attempting to create a defensive gameplan while up against Murray.

Kyler threw for 250 yards and a touchdown when he faced off against the Eagles’ defense on October 9th.

“He is a problem to defend because of what he can do.”

Speaking on the culture he is hoping to bring, Gannon focused on being adaptable and willing to change the gameplan depending on their opponent.

“We are going to be adaptable; we are going to be violent; we are going to be explosive, and we are going to be smart.”

Considering this is his first head coaching gig, the poise and confidence that Gannon exhibited were truly impressive and encouraging.
