Taysom Hill throws four interceptions in Saints' 27-17 loss to Cowboys

Taysom Hill started at quarterback for the New Orleans Saints for the first time this season, but the night didn't go as planned for the 31-year-old veteran. Hill threw four interceptions — three of which came in the fourth quarter — in a 27-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

The third interception of the fourth quarter for Hill was returned 27 yards for a touchdown by Cowboys defensive tackle Carlos Watkins to put the game on ice.

While Hill did manage to throw two touchdown passes, including a 70-yarder to Deonte Harris in the final minutes of the game, they weren't enough to offset his errors. In November, Hill signed a unique four-year extension with the Saints that could be worth anywhere from $40 million to $95 million depending on how much time he spends as the team's starting quarterback.

The Cowboys improved to 8-4 with the win and kept a tight grip on the top spot in the NFC East after back-to-back losses at the end of November threatened to open the door to the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles.

New Orleans fell to 5-7 with a fifth consecutive loss. The team hasn't won a game since placing Jameis Winston on injured reserve with an ACL tear.
