Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan spent the past four years working with one of the game’s premier quarterbacks, Joe Burrow, and now gets to run his own program with second-year signal caller Will Levis behind center.

As offensive coordinator of the Bengals, Callahan saw Burrow lead Cincinnati to the doorstep of hoisting the Lombardi, in a Super Bowl loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

Now, the first-time head coach gets his chance to develop Levis, who he hopes and is optimistic can blossom into a franchise quarterback.

What Brian Callahan Sees in Tennessee Titans QB WIll Levis

During the NFL Annual Meeting in Orlando, Fla., Callahan offered a glowing review of Levis, ahead of his second season and their first working together.

“I see a really, really competitive, tough, intense personality,” Callahan told SiriusXM. “I think he really wants to be good. I think that’s a starting point. If you have a guy like that who’s willing and eager to really do what it takes to be a really good player, it’s a good thing to have to start.

“On top of that, I think he’s got really good physical talent. He’s strong, he’s put together, he can really throw the ball, he’s got great feet, and he’s a good runner.”

As a rookie, after sliding out of the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Levis appeared in nine games, completing just 58.4 percent of his passes for 1,808 yards with eight touchdowns to four interceptions while adding 57 rushing yards and another score.

Ahead of his Year 2 of his NFL career, Levis will benefit from an even stronger supporting cast, after the Titans added deep-threat receiver Calvin Ridley to pair opposite DeAndre Hopkins.

“All of those things,” Callahan said of Levis’ best traits. “lead me to some excitement about what’s to come for him. He played just enough to learn some lessons and I think what’s ahead for him is exciting. I can’t wait to actually get to the working with him part.”
