NASHVILLE - When it comes to the specialists for the Tennessee Titans in 2023, there isn't a lot of suspense, as both the long snapper and the punter are set in stone, while the kicking position is the only one left to be battled out.

THE PLAYERS

Ryan Stonehouse, Morgan Cox, Caleb Shudak, Trey Wolff

PUNTER

Ryan Stonehouse: The record-setting rookie returns for his second season, where he has worked hard to improve his directional punting. If he can harness the power in that right leg to place the football where he wants it, the sky's the limit for what he could become.

LONG SNAPPER

Morgan Cox: Cox is the long snapper for this team and has no competition unless it's for who might back him up this season.

KICKER

This one seemed a dead heat from what we in the media witnessed on the days we were in attendance, so anything here would be a total guess on my part, but that's what this is about, to take some chances and make a guess, so with that, here goes.

Trey Wolff: The rookie from Texas Tech showed a big, powerful leg with the media in attendance, and he was accurate. Then so was Shudak, but considering the injury issue Shadak faced last season and the history of Wolff having no serious injury issues, give me Wolff in a close battle that could go down to the last seconds before the final roster cutdowns.

PRACTICE SQUAD

Caleb Shudak: The loser of this kicking competition. With my prediction, Shudak could be headed to the practice squad as insurance against the winner being injured or struggling.

CONCLUSION

Once again, this is just a prediction based on what we witnessed during the off-season program, and things could have been different on the days the media was not in attendance. Still, I'm stepping out to predict this one, but I wouldn't be upset if I were wrong, given the limited work we witnessed from these two kickers.
