As hard as it is to make it to the NFL, staying in the league is that much harder.

Very few players make it to second contracts in the league, and even then,  the contract structure is often based on one to two-year deals.

And for Pittsburgh Steelers starter Dan Moore Jr., a second contract is likely, but it might not be in Pittsburgh:

Unseated by another Bulldog?

Moore Jr. has started for the past three seasons at LT, and while he has seen his struggles, the NFL has recognized him with performance pay bonuses for back-to-back seasons.

Moore is best suited to be a swing tackle in the league. That is a sixth contributor that has a specific role in heavy personnel or as a significant contributor if a starter goes down.

But a player like Amarius Mims has the upside to be one of the best tackles in the league, while Brodrick Jones takes over Moore Jr.'s spot and gets back to his roots at left tackle:

And while Mims and the Steelers have certainly picked up steam in terms of being linked at 20th overalll, Pittsburgh is leaving their options open following an official visit from another elite tackle prospect on Tuesday.

But if we know anything about the Steelers and Omar khan, it's that the old way of doing business is gone in Pittsburgh, and everything, and probably every position is a possibility come two weeks's from now.

Tackle is atop that list of possibilities however, and should Pittsburgh take one inside of the first two rounds, it could mark a new start for Dan Moore Jr.
