Terrell Owens honors Hugh Douglas as only he can

Hugh Douglas was inducted into the Eagles Hall of Fame during halftime of Sunday's Eagles-Packers game. Terrell Owens honored his former sparring partner the only way he knows how.

Owens allegedly knocked out a man for harassing customers in a CVS store. The incident took place in L.A. late Saturday night.

Douglas started his career with the New York Jets before being traded to the Eagles in 1998. In five years with the team, he had 352 tackles, 80 sacks and was named to three Pro Bowls.

In 2005 Douglas had retired and was working with as a team an ambassador. Terrell Owens came to the Eagles in 2004. He was the driving force behind their Super Bowl run, but the team had grown tired of his antics by 2005.

As the story goes, Douglas came into the locker room and joked that there were people faking injuries. Owens was walking on an underwater treadmill and wasn’t amused. He assumed Douglas was referring to him and challenged him to a fight.

The story gets a bit fuzzy from there. Douglas claims no punches were thrown but Owens says otherwise. He was suspended indefinitely a few days later and would never play for the team again.

Owens still wants to play football. At 48, he joined the Fan Controlled Football league.  Douglas currently co-hosts a morning radio show in Atlanta. There are 30 CVS stores in Atlanta, hopefully, Douglas uses Walgreens.
