Last season veteran center Michael Deiter proved his worth as an anchor for the Houston Texans amidst a challenging period marred by multiple injuries along the offensive line.

During that tough stretch, Deiter contributed significantly with 10 starts. However, despite his consistency, reports from KPRC 2 indicate that Deiter is expected to hit free agency.

Before coming to the Texans, Dieter spent five years with the Miami Dolphins, establishing himself as a reliable presence on the team's offensive line, earning frequent starting roles.

His experience and leadership make him an attractive option for teams in need of solid offensive line talent.

With his impending free agency drawing interest from teams across the league, Deiter's journey to find his next NFL home is poised to be a compelling storyline in the offseason.

As teams assess their needs and weigh their options, Deiter stands out as a seasoned veteran capable of making an immediate impact on the gridiron.

But who could Houston go after to replace him?

As it stands, the Texans already have promising young center Juice Scruggs in the starting spot. They also have experienced veterans and young prospects available, including Kendrick Green, Kenyon Green, and Scott Quessenberry, who are all set to return from injury.

Fortunately for the Texans, there is also a wealth of experience available in terms of interior offensive linemen hitting free agency later next week, should they choose to go a different route.

Names like Brian Allen, Connor Williams, Cody Whitehair, Mason Cole, Mitch Morse, Connor McGovern, and Will Clapp all stand out as potential targets.

And with more than $60 million in cap space, any of those moves could be a possibility if the Texans choose to pursue it.

That said, even if Houston elects not to pursue an interior lineman during the free agency period, there will also be plenty of talent available in the NFL Draft next month.
