The Houston Texans, just like every other team, started offseason workouts on Monday, where the team, or most of it, came together for the first time in a while. As for the Texans, they had a few players and even head coach DeMeco Ryans talk to the media.

Even though the off-season workouts are taken pretty seriously as this is the first time this version of the team has met, before the rookies of course, there are still some funny moments that usually happen. You have to keep things loose. That’s what C.J. Stroud did when answering one question, as he made everyone laugh.

Stroud revealed he was one of the last people to learn about what the Texans did just a few weeks ago that stunned the NFL world.

“I was asleep,” Stroud said on Monday. “I been on the west coast back home in LA so I was knocked out. I keep my phone on do not disturb, I get a lot of phone calls. And so I didn’t really know.”

The rest of the quote is pretty funny, as Stroud has been known to be.

The best part about what has happened since the trade is that Diggs is already trying to prove every narrative wrong. He is simply working his butt off. And, he and Stroud have worked together a few different times already, trying to build that connection.

The Texans are going for it all this year, and the rest of the league is asleep just like Stroud was.
