He had an outstanding high school career, a prolific collegiate career, and his professional journey is off to a good start.

Will Anderson Jr., the No. 3 overall selection of the 2023 NFL Draft, propelled the Houston Texans to the AFC playoffs as a rookie last season. He helped the franchise capture an AFC South Division title and win a playoff game.

Anderson, the only two-time Unanimous All-American in Alabama football history, made his first Pro Bowl and was selected to the NFL’s All-Rookie Team by the Professional Football Writers Association (PFWA). He finished his first season with 45 total tackles, including 10 for loss and seven sacks. Anderson, a native Georgian, is a finalist for NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year.

The NFL Honors Ceremony is Thursday night at 8 p.m. CT. Anderson has an opportunity to earn a marquee award to cap off a successful rookie campaign. According to NFL on Fox Podcast, he has been voted on by fans as the Defensive Rookie of the Year.

We will see if Anderson takes home the award.
