The Houston Texans will be without their top two draft picks once more.

Quarterback C.J. Stroud (concussion) and defensive end Will Anderson Jr. (ankle) are out for Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns at NRG Stadium. Linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring), offensive lineman Josh Jones and defensive tackle Teair Tart are also inactive.

Stroud, who suffered a concussion during the fourth quarter of Week 14's loss to the New York Jets, did not practice leading up to Sunday's game, which has extensive playoff factors in the AFC.

Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said the No. 2 pick had made progress over the week, and there's optimism he'll play in Houston's home finale next Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

Houston turns to veteran Case Keenum once more following his comeback performance against the Titans last week at Nissan Stadium. Keenum finished 22 of 36 passing for 229 yards and a touchdown against an interception.

“He’s played in multiple systems … so has a very good understanding of offensive football, defensive football, son of a coach,” Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said. “Case knows the Xs and Os really well, has always been a playmaker throughout his entire career.”

Cleveland, meanwhile, will be without safety Juan Thornhill, linebackers Anthony Walker Jr. and Jordan Kunaszyk, defensive ends Obo Okoronkwo and Isaiah McGuire, cornerback Kahlef Hailassie and offensive lineman Luke Wypler.

The Texans (8-6) are currently the No. 8 seed in the AFC Playoff picture and remain one game behind the Browns (9-5). Houston is also in a three-way tie for first place with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Indianapolis Colts atop the AFC South.

The Colts, who won 31-20 in Week 2 over the Texans, currently hold the No. 7 seed heading into their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
