Texans QB Tyrod Taylor expected to return as starter vs. Dolphins

Tyrod Taylor will likely line up under center for the Houston Texans on Sunday for the first time in nearly two months.

Taylor was placed on injured reserve on Sept. 21, two days after he went down with a left hamstring injury during the team's Week 2 loss against the Cleveland Browns. The 32-year-old returned to Texans practice on Oct. 27 but didn't suit up in Week 8.

In his one-and-a-half games this season, Taylor completed 31 of his 44 pass attempts for 416 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Houston defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 37-21 in Week 1 but since then has lost seven in a row.

In Taylor's place, rookie quarterback Davis Mills has completed 67% of his passes with seven touchdowns and eight interceptions.

The Texans are scheduled to face the Miami Dolphins at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
