Texans RB Marlon Mack says he's 'there again,' back to pre-Achilles injury form

Running back Marlon Mack broke out during his second season in the NFL in 2018, racking up 908 rushing yards and a career-high nine rushing touchdowns across just 12 games (10 starts). 2019 was arguably the former fourth-round pick's best campaign to date thus far, though, as he crossed the highly coveted 1,000-yard threshold on the ground with 1,091 rushing yards and eight more scores via 247 carries.

Since tearing his Achilles in Week 1 of the 2020 season, though, Mack has been a non-factor, finishing his journey with the Indianapolis Colts with six games played in 2021 and gaining 101 scoreless yards on just 28 carries. Now with the Houston Texans, though, the 26-year-old says he's ready to revitalize his career.

Mack is expected to contend for the Texans' starting running back gig. Other players he'll likely be battling for touches include veteran pass-catching specialist Rex Burkhead and rookie Dameon Pierce.
