Texans WR Kenny Stills arrested during Breonna Taylor protest

Houston Texans wide receiver Kenny Stills is facing felony charges after being arrested during a protest calling for the officers who shot and killed Breonna Taylor to be arrested.

Stills was one of 87 protesters who gathered at the home of Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron to demand justice. The group sat on Cameron's lawn and led chants that urged him to finally arrest Myles Cosgrove, Brett Hankison, and Jonathan Mattingly, the three officers who entered Taylor's apartment and shot her.

The police were called and after the group refused to leave, they were arrested for several charges, including "intimidating a participant in a legal process," which is a felony.

"The protestors chose to occupy the front yard of a home owned by the Kentucky Attorney General and continuously chant towards he and his neighbors," a Lousiville Metro Police Dept. spokesperson said. "At his request, they were trespassed from the property. All were given the opportunity to leave, were told that remaining on the property would be unlawful, and chose not to leave."

In his mugshot, Stills can be seen wearing a shirt that reads "Breonna Taylors Killers Are Still Police." Stills has long been one of the most socially conscious players in the NFL, as he previously kneeled during the national anthem and has a 'Black Lives Matter' tattoo on his leg.

The death of Taylor, along with George Floyd, has become a central focus of the current nationwide protests, as many believe her death was entirely unjustified and the officers not being arrested points to the systemic racism in America's police.
