The Cleveland Browns are locked in as the No. 5 seed for the 2023 NFL Playoffs, but could be a suitor for one, or even two veteran players.

Covered up by the Browns' huge Thursday Night Football victory was that wide receiver Elijah Moore suffered a very scary head injury. Moore landed directly on his forehead and had a scary reaction to his injury.

He was able to leave the field under his own power and would end up spending the night in the hospital. With his health being the top priority, who knows if we will see Moore again on the field this year. It was certainly encouraging to see him on the practice field on Wednesday afternoon, but he's still in the concussion protocol.

Given Moore's injury along with Amari Cooper's lingering heel injury, the Browns could look to add a veteran to their receiving group before the playoffs. One name that has continued to surface is Jarvis Landry

The former Brown hasn't had an NFL home this season, but could be a guy the Browns look to bring in to add at least another body to a room that is thin with injury.

Along with a veteran wide receiver, Cleveland could be in the sweepstakes to sign new free agent Dalvin Cook.

On Tuesday, the Jets cut the veteran running back allowing him to seek a contract with a contender. Cook will likely have his pick between Cleveland, Baltimore, San Francisco or Dallas

It's important to note that Cook spent three years with Kevin Stefanski in Minnesota. In 2019, Cook was the main back for then Offensive Coordinator Stefanski when he rushed for 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Cleveland opened up a roster spot on their practice squad Tuesday, so look for a move to be on the horizon. If they go the veteran route, keep an eye out for these two names.
