The Indianapolis Colts have yet to add an outside free agent to their secondary, who struggled mightily last season.

But that could be set to change. They got a closer look at veteran safety Kareem Jackson after hosting him for a free-agent visit.

The Colts know Jackson well as he started his NFL career with the Houston Texans after being drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He started as a CB for his first nine seasons before leaving Houston to join the Denver Broncos, where he switched to safety.

He has played SS for the past five seasons in Denver but also suited up for two games last year with the Texans. In his 15-year career, Jackson has appeared in 203 games and has 22 interceptions and 110 pass deflections. He even had two interceptions last year during his ten-year stint with the Broncos.

Jackson will turn 36 on April 10th, so he wouldn't be a long-term solution for the Colts. But the Colts' current safety room is arguably the worst in the entire NFL, so any veteran addition at this point should be a welcomed sight for fans.
