A couple of weeks ago on June 30th, former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Marlin Jackson celebrated his 39th birthday.

Drafted by the Colts with the 29th pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, Jackson played five years in Indy and was responsible for the greatest play in Indianapolis Colts history.

2006 AFC Championship Game

Heading into the 2006 AFC Championship game, it seemed the Colts would never get over the hump.

Especially the New England hump.

And heading into halftime at the RCA Dome, down 21-6, it looked like Tom Brady and New England would be on their way to another Super Bowl.

However, Peyton Manning silenced his critics by leading his team to two straight touchdown drives, tying the game.

Highlighted by a touchdown pass to offensive lineman Dan Kelcko.

Heading into the fourth it was a back-and-forth battle, trading touchdowns and field goals. But it was capped off by a Joseph Addai goal line rushing touchdown to give the Colts the lead with only a minute left.

Although they were leading, everyone knew the game was far from over.

With Tom Brady on the field, the game is never truly over.

Leading the Patriots to the Colts 45 yard line, Brady would end up throwing a game-ending interception to Indy corner Marlin Jackson. Jackson’s turnover helped seal the game and sent the Indianapolis Colts to their franchise’s first Super Bowl.

Super Bowl 41 vs Chicago Bears

The Colts were able to finish the job in the final game of the season.

In a rainy game against the Chicago Bears, the Colts seemed like they would choke in another big game. Giving up an opening kickoff return to Devin Hester and a Peyton Manning first-drive interception looked scary for Indy fans.

But the Colts were able to regain by pressuring QB Rex Grossman and rode their run game to a 29-17 victory.
