The New Orleans Saints currently have just over $8 million in cap space. That's not a sizable amount, but it could be enough to add another talent on offense either before or after the 2024 NFL Draft.

Former Cincinnati Bengals WR Tyler Boyd should be a target for the Saints due to his slow market.

At 6'2 and 205 pounds, Boyd is sized as the sort of receiver the Saints must add to their depth chart. They need bodies, in general, but a bigger target to add to Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed would make a ton of sense.

Boyd fits that bill and is just 29 years old.

The Saints added Cedrick Wilson III earlier in free agency, but his impact to the offense is still unknown. He's a scheme fit, but he struggled at times during his time with the Miami Dolphins in recent years.

Getting WR3 production from one of Boyd or Wilson would take the Saints passing game to the next level. Not to mention, the Saints own just one pick on day two of the draft currently. It's tough to see them getting an instant-impact wideout unless the take one in the first 45 picks.

During his eight-year stint with Cincy, Boyd totaled 6,000 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns on 513 catches.

For much of that time, he was their WR2 or WR3 behind some of the top receiving talents in the NFL.

All in all, Boyd is a player whose market has been quiet. His athleticism and size should entice the Saints into giving him a strong look sometime during free agency.
