The New York Giants hold a ton of power with the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. It's not Thanos-type power, but it's definitely like holding one of the infinity stones. They are doing no favors for the rest of the league, either. The Giants front office continues to try to throw off the surrounding teams in the draft order.

NFL insider Daniel Jeremiah recently noted that the Giants may select Notre Dame OT Joe Alt with their first pick.

The Alt pick would surprise plenty of folks. The Giants have consistently been mocked a wide receiver in recent months. Fans have seen plenty of Marvin Harrison Jr., Malik Nabers, and Rome Odunze.

On the other hand, Brock Bowers at tight end has also been a consistent topic. The Giants are unsure of the future of veteran TE Darren Waller. He continues to ponder retirement or a return next season.

The Giants GM placed more smoke around their first round plans on Thursday.

Schoen notes that he does not feel the need to draft a quarterback. He also said he would be comfortable going into the season with a QB room of Daniel Jones, Drew Lock and Tommy DeVito.

Of course, this could simply be another ploy to try to throw teams off their scent. The Giants could still sit at sixth overall or even move up to go get a top QB prospect.

The mystery continues. Exactly one week out - the Giants have made their draft plans quite cloudy for legitimately everyone outside of the building.
