Who knows, wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald could still make an NFL comeback.

After all, he hasn’t filed his retirement papers yet.

But now that he is celebrating his special day, NFL Throwback on Twitter looked back at his highlights.

The tweet reads, “He still hasn’t officially retired… What’s your favorite @LarryFitzgerald moment? Happy 39th birthday to the future Hall of Famer.”

He beat two defenders in his first catch on the highlight video.

He was especially good in fade routes and catching balls above defenders.

After playing with the Pittsburgh Panthers for two years, the Arizona Cardinals selected him with the third overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Fitzgerald went on to play his entire 17-season career with the Cardinals and last saw action in 2020.

He has been a three-time All-Pro and 11-time Pro Bowler throughout his career.

He also led the league in receptions twice and touchdowns twice.

Fitzgerald is also a part of the league’s 2010s All-Decade Team and 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.

He was also the 2016 Walter Payton Man of the Year awardee.

Aside from being a great player, he is also a humanitarian by establishing the Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund, which sponsors positive activities for kids.

He also created the Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund in honor of his mother, and it supports groups that educate the youth about HIV/AIDS and breast cancer.

Records Held By Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald has the most seasons with at least 90 receptions with eight.

He also owns the single postseason record for touchdown receptions (7), receptions (30), and receiving yards (546).

He also had the most postseason games with at least 150 receiving yards with three.

Fitzgerald also became the first wide receiver to have at least 150 receptions against three NFL franchises.

Barring any comeback, he is eligible for induction in the Pro Football Hall of Fame by 2025.
