As expected, a trio of cornerbacks headlines the New York Jets' list of gameday inactives for the Week 6 home battle against the Philadelphia Eagles on October 15.

Starters D.J. Reed and Sauce Gardner along with backup Brandin Echols were amongst the team's seven inactive players, which were officially announced 90 minutes prior to the 4:25 pm ET kickoff.

Reed and Echols, who were ruled out on Friday, will both miss a second straight game. Meanwhile, Gardner popped up on the injury report with an "illness" on Friday before the Jets surprisingly ruled him out with a concussion on Saturday.

The Jets are actually down four cornerbacks as Justin Hardee, who doubles as a special teams captain, went onto Injured Reserve on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.

Defensive end Micheal Clemons, who was tagged as questionable with an ankle, is down for Sunday's game.

Gang Green's three other inactives are all rookies. Fifth-round running back Israel Abanikanda, sixth-round linebacker Zaire Barnes and undrafted receiver Jason Brownlee have yet to make their NFL regular season debut.

Receiver Mecole Hardman and defensive end Carl Lawson, two veterans who were inactive in Week 5, are up for the Eagles' game. Gameday Practice Squad elevations Craig James and Tae Hayes are active to provide much-needed support in the depleted defensive backfield.
